50th Year Anniversary Exhibition
I designed the 50th Year Anniversary Exhibition, an exhibition exploring the past 50 years of the museum’s offerings to the community and patrons.
Presented at the Jewel Court at South Coast Plaza, this exhibition traced the history of OCMA from its beginnings at the Balboa Pavilion in 1962 through its development into the Orange County Museum of Art. Working closely with adjunct curator Karen Moss, the exhibition celebrated key founders, supporters, artists, and exhibitions over the last 50 years.
The exhibition design was based on the bold and contemporary nature of past exhibitions. All the graphics, banners, and large wall wrap graphics had to adhere to the highest design and print standards. I designed, coordinated with the printers, and oversaw installation for this exhibition. After its closing at South Coast Plaza, the exhibition moved to OCMA and was hung in the main gallery for a six-month exhibition.
The exhibition consisted of four 8’ x 10’ walls, three 4’ x 16’ hanging banners, wall graphics that expanded the entire upper wall space, and in the middle, a rotating sculpture created by artist Richard Jackson.
